From a toddler to today, I have never been fully content unless I have had some medium in my hand/s to write, draw, paint, or squeeze.

About Jeanita: My History
What kinds of artistic expressions have I experienced?
First of all, I am the kind of person who does not settle for anything halfway. When I open a window, it is all the way open or closed. I have the same theory as learning. If I want to learn about a particular art, I’m in all the way. My history proves I stick with it until I’ve mastered it. Quite literally. More on that below.
I started dabbling in calligraphy when I was 13. When my freshman year in high school came, I was excited that my art teacher taught the basics of calligraphy. That made me fall in love with beautiful writing even more. Through the years, I never fully put the quill down.
Fast forward…
I saw an advertisement in a catalog (in pre-Internet days) to buy a system to become a custom engraver. I purchased it, learned the skill, and went into business (that has lasted for 29 years so far). After thousands of orders, some in the hundreds of dollars, my title became Master Engraver.
Since calligraphy and engraving go together, in no time, I was engraving calligraphy into everything. I still hungered for the ink version, though. I branched out and did both sides. Before long, I was engrossed with writing in/on...

Throughout life, I fell for essential oils. So much so that I had schooling and received my Advanced Essential Oils Certificates so I could teach and become a counselor, it did not pacify my longing for art, though.
The world is filled with art. As an artist, somehow, I took an interest in decorating cakes, then cookies. This is why I included ‘squeezing’ above! Yes, I became a professional decorator with a booming home business for 10 years. I loved that I could incorporate my calligraphy on those as well. You may have heard of WeCookiers. Yes, I’m ‘Nita’, the author and decorator of that ongoing site! It seems that cookie decorating is also addictive!
